Our tutors have exceptional academic and professional backgrounds. Not only have they mastered the college entrance exams, but more importantly, they are fully invested in this process and have a unique gift for connecting with students.

As the founder of Top Score Tutors, Mr. Shampaner has always been passionate about the field of education. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Florida State University and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University. His professional experience includes three years as a high school classroom teacher and five years as a college admissions counselor and academic advisor at Florida Atlantic University serving both undergraduate and graduate students. Aside from running the daily operations of Top Score Tutors, Mr. Shampaner also serves as a temporary instructor for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, conducting in-person SAT/ACT workshops for both at-risk and high achieving students. He has been preparing students for the SAT/ACT since 2017, logging more than 3,000 hours of tutoring experience in both individual and group settings. When Mr. Shampaner isn't teaching, he loves playing basketball, doing yoga, practicing spanish, going to the beach, and spending quality time with his wife and family.
Joshua Shampaner, M.Ed
Mr. Shusterman's passion for math and education started with the influence of his grandmother, who was a math teacher in the Soviet Union for 40 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both earned from the University of Texas at San Antonio. His professional experience includes teaching math at the collegiate level, and for the last 7 years, teaching high school math ranging from all the subjects such as Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus AB/BC. While pursing his master's degree, he tutored students at the Sylvan Learning Center on a variety of topics including the SAT. When Mr. Shusterman is not teaching he loves watching and playing baseball and football, collecting sports cards, and most importantly spending time with the 2 girls in his life, his wife Victoria and daughter Evie.
Leo Shusterman M.Ed
Mrs. Calvo has been passionate about math ever since she was a child. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from Hofstra University in New York, and has excelled as a classroom teacher for 16 years teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Precalculus. Additionally, she has been a private tutor for 20 years teaching math to all grade levels, as well as the SAT/ACT exam to high school students. Mrs. Calvo loves to see her students grow and learn to enjoy math as much as she does. In her eyes, math is like trying to complete a challenging puzzle and putting the pieces in place to arrive at a correct answer. In her free time, she is an enthusiastic traveler who enjoys meeting new people, trying different foods, and listening to music from all cultures. She also enjoys exercising, hiking, cooking, and taking her 3 children to state parks to explore and appreciate nature's beauty.
Crystal Calvo
Jinho Choi
Mr. Choi is a graduate of Baylor University with a bachelors in biochemistry and is currently in pursuit of his doctor of dental medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Jinho has a decade of experience tutoring students in test preparation for the ACT and SAT. He has worked with students in person and virtually, as well as one-on-one and in classroom settings. Having scored in the 99.9th percentile for both his own SAT, Jinho has extensive perspective and techniques to support his students in their own journey toward their ideal score. His forte is deriving clear and simple solutions for working through complex problems. Aside from tutoring, Jinho enjoys collecting mechanical watches, participating as a member of the watch club in his own community, and watching the NBA as a long time Los Angeles Lakers fan.
Ms. Dieguez earned her Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida but has always had a strong passion for teaching. Throughout her career she focused on scientific research, design, and multi-functional projects within the Mechanical and Aerospace departments. Early on, she joined the STEM tutoring program at UCF where she tutored courses like Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. As time progressed, she tutored K-12/College STEM courses within a classroom and online environment. Ms. Dieguez always aims for student success and goes beyond the classroom. She believes it is important to teach students to develop problem solving skills using the right methods. Over the years, she has been trained to prepare students for the SAT/ACT exams and provides effective strategies and step-by-step solutions. In her free time, she enjoys playing the Ukulele, assembling LEGO structures, trying new food, and traveling around Spain.
Jessica Dieguez
Benjamin Aslin
Mr. Aslin is currently enrolled at the University of Florida pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. His teaching journey began by always helping his two younger brothers when it came to homework and studying for tests. This led to his first tutoring job at Kumon, where he worked with students both in person and online for 3 years, quickly getting promoted to Senior Instructor. Having scored a 1510 on the SAT himself, Mr. Aslin transitioned into online SAT/ACT tutoring where he focuses on helping students not only improve their scores, but also their critical thinking skills as he feels that it will leave a lasting impact on all of their future academic studies. Upon graduation from the University of Florida, Mr. Aslin is pursuing a career in the financial services industry, specifically asset management. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, biking, poker, and watching football, baseball, and basketball.
James Tsai
Mr. Tsai is currently enrolled in the Honors College at Stony Brook University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and minor in accounting. He is also in the Scholars for Dental Medicine program, guaranteeing him acceptance into the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine upon graduation. With a passion in the STEM field, Mr. Tsai's professional experience lies in SHSAT, SAT, ACT, AP/Honors Biology, AP/Honors Chemistry, College level General Chemistry I/II, Organic Chemistry I/II, Algebra I/II, and AP Calculus AB. Aside from tutoring, Mr. Tsai has over a decade of experience playing the violin. He had a debut solo in Carnegie Hall as well as performing at Lincoln Center for a decade. He is currently an assistant concertmaster at Stony Brook University Orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, acoustic guitar, and chess.
